The California based company supplies McDonald’s with about 130 products including beef patties, sauces, and buns.
Golden State Food’s in Garner will supply about 500 locations in and around North Carolina, including Virginia and South Carolina.
The project is set to cost $23.5 million and is schedule for completion in August of 2009.
Mayor Williams says he is particularly excited for this new development because of the 200 plus workers GSF is looking to employ.
“Garner is a hotspot,” Williams said, “This will bring in more housing developments, restaurants, and more McDonald’s into the area.”
According to the mayor, this new distribution company in Garner already prompted more than a dozen new McDonald’s to be built in the surrounding regions.
