HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. -- Harnett County Sheriff's Office made a huge drug bust in a deserted area outside of Broadway.

The large narcotic seizure included 11 plots of marijuana and a camp near the field.

 

Harnett County Sheriff said deputies have cleared about 700 plants from the field but says thousands more will be removed. Each full grown marijuana plant is worth about $2,400.

 

Officials say that it looks like at least six or seven people were staying in a makeshift camp near the deserted field. Deputies found seven tents, a "laundry room" near a creek, a kitchen area, and a bathroom area.

 

So far, officials don't have any suspects and have put out a $5,000 reward for any information related to the case.
