CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. – Rescue crews recovered the body of a Garner man in Jordan Lake.

According to Officer Richard Rains of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, Edmund McKibbin, 46, drowned Saturday after falling off an anchored boat.

 

Crews received the call around 11:15 a.m. and searched for McKibbin’s body for more than two hours.

 

McKibbin and two other people were camping at the lake.

 

Park officials do no suspect foul play.
