Officials Say 3 Burned In NC House Fire

COATS, N.C. -- Officials say three men are hospitalized after a fire burned them in a Harnett County house.

Maj. Gary McNeill of the Harnett County Sheriff's Office told The Fayetteville Observer that the fire was reported early Sunday in the Coats community. One man escaped the flames and went for help from a neighbor and two of them men were taken to a local hospital by a citizen.
 
The three men were transferred to Bowman Gray Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. McNeill said the men were in critical condition.
 
Their names haven't been released. About a third of the dwelling was destroyed.
