Police are searching for a missing 13-year-old girl. Her parents say Kali Norris was nowhere to be found on Friday morning, after her mom went to check on her after taking some of her siblings to school.
By the time her father got home, church members, friends, family, and police were looking for her, worried that a neurological problem could make matters worse. Police say Norris was last seen near the intersection of Main Street and Cedar Creek Road in Franklinton. Police have spent the weekend asking drivers if they've seen her in the area.
Norris' family says they're especially concerned because the 13-year-old has been suffering from a medical condition that has caused seizures. They said she went missing before, as a result of the condition
"We don't have any leads as far as where she might be," said Sgt. Kevin Hornaday, with the Franklinton Police Department. "I believe from what I've seen based on the investigation that she might be with someone."
"We love her. We want her back ... the most important thing is that she's safe," said Roland Norris, Kali's father.
Kali Norris is 5 feet and 5 inches tall. She has pierced ears and a scar on her left forearm.
Police say Kali's case does not constitute an Amber Alert because there's no reason to suspect foul play.
Police are asking people with information to call (919) 496-2511.
