CARY, N.C. – Cary High School Student see what they’re really made of during a challenging lesson.
Science professionals from all over the state have been traveling to school teaching students about DNA since April 25.
Cary students listened to speakers and participated in hands-on experiments, exploring what traits they possess.
Christina Adamczyk is a Science Director for pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline. She said knowing about DNA helps to understand other people.
“Scientist, grad students and professors share and inform about DNA and genetics and the importance of genetics in health and the importance of teaching people to be healthy and create medicines to create better lives for people,” said Adamczyk.
There were over 400 schools throughout the month that were involved with DNA day. The students at Cary High said it’s not only interesting but a lot of fun.
