APEX, N.C. – The Town of Apex just recently started its own theatre group and now the town is expanding community arts even further with an Apex band.

The band is being directed by Jack Clayton who is a member of the Apex community. He said the band only has four members at this point but are encouraging music lovers to get involved.

 

There are many community bands in the area with particular genres of music. Clayton said the band will play a wide variety of music from pop to Jazz and beyond.

 

“Apex is a growing community with people from all over and it’s growing in regard to the arts. They recently founded a theatre group and it makes sense to form a band,” Clayton said.

 

He added, “We will be playing anything that’s popular and fun. That’s the philosophy of the band, getting together, playing and having fun.”

 

Clayton is still searching for a place to rehearse and looking to the community for help.
