Man Crashes Truck Into House, Charged With DWI

DURHAM, N.C. -- A 20-year-old man is charged with DWI after crashing his truck into a home in Durham.

Police said Jaime Lopez Sanchez was driving when his truck hit a home on Linwood Avenue around 9 a.m. Sunday.
 
Willie Alsoun, the resident of the house was a thome, but was uninjured in the accident.
 
"I was getting ready to go to church and next thing I know, 'boom,'" Willie Alsuon.
 
Charles Bailey also heard the crash from a nearby convenience store. He said he came outside to find a truck and two men on Alsuon's porch.
 
Bailey was able to hold one of the men until police arrived. Officers caught the other just blocks away.
 
Police said Sanchez blew a .14 on the breathalyzer test -- nearly twice the limit.
 
"They had a case of Corona in the car, in the front seat," said Alsuon.
 
Sanchez is charged with DWI, driving without a license and damage to property.
 
His bond was set at $6,000.
 
No word on if the passenger in the vehicle will face any charges.
