JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. -- At least two people are dead after an accident occurred around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Jackson King Road and Mount Pleasant Road, according to Johnston County Dispatch.

According to highway patrol, Curtis Price, 69, was making a left turn into his driveway when two motorcycles collided with the side of his pickup truck. Jamal El-Ferkh, 24, Brittany Custer, 18, and Tony Lee Junior were driving the motorcycles when they hit the truck. Both El-Ferkh and Custer died from their injuries.

Lee was taken to WakeMed for his injuries, which officials say appear to be life-threatening.

Highway Patrol is investigating the accident to see if speed was a factor. Charges are pending on the outcome of the investigation.
