DURHAM, N.C. -- The State Bureau of Investigation announced Friday the Computer Crimes Unit arrested a former youth soccer coach on charges of possession of child pornography.

Michael Anthony Ingram, 38, surrendered to the SBI Friday morning after an investigation began where his name came up as a person of interest in an unrelated investigation, said a news release from SBI.

 

The release also stated that Ingram consented to a search of his home computers and forensic examination revealed image and video files described as child pornography. The images appear to have been downloaded from the Internet and SBI said they do not appear to have been produced by Ingram or to involve any children or students with whom he worked.

 

Ingram is charged with seven felony counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor for possession of child pornography.

 

His arrest follows another arrest made by SBI Thursday of a former Chapel Hill and Wake County, Cumberland and Carteret teacher.
