The accuser said it happened early Sunday morning in a home rented to six Duke students.

The accuser is an 18-year-old Duke student. She told police she was raped during a party at a home on Gattis Street in Durham, which is owned by a private landlord.

The university said it's very concerned about the incident and is waiting to see where the investigation goes.

Durham police said the accuser was attending a party on the B side of this duplex at 405 Gattis Street. Officials said Monday that a duffle bag with drugs and money was also found on the property but did not say if it was related to the investigation.

Officers said the woman claims she was raped in a bathroom around 3 a.m. Sunday during a party attended by at least 50 other people.

On Sunday night, a person who opened the door on the B of the duplex side politely asked NBC17 to leave the property. The unidentified person told us because there are serious charges involved, nobody wants to comment.

Duke University's Vice President of Student Affairs confirmed that a number of Duke students attended the party, saying that they are "providing support to the woman involved, and is very concerned about what's been reported and awaits further information from the Durham police investigation."

This comes nearly a year after the Duke lacrosse team's off-campus party where an exotic dancer claims she was raped.

Rape charges against Reade Seligmann, Collin Finnerty and Dave Evans were dropped in December. All three still face kidnapping and sexual offense charges, and they insist they're innocent.

Durham police said charges have not been filed and no arrests have been made.
