Paul Matadeen

Paul Matadeen joins NBC 17 from Panama City, Florida where he anchored and reported at WJHG-TV, the area's NBC station.

Paul has worked in broadcast television for over a decade, covering the Colorado Wildfires in 2002, the Presidential debates and the Iowa Caucuses in 2004, and more recently, the infamous Joe Francis case for the Fox News Channel.

Paul started his broadcast career in 1995 hosting specialty programs for WPLG-TV, the ABC affiliate in Miami. He's reported on state government in Missouri, and has developed and hosted numerous programs covering the Christian Music industry out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Paul says he is passionate about being an active member in the community. That's why he's excited to be one of NBC 17's reporters assigned to cover Durham.

Paul lives in Southwest Durham with his dog named Easy (Easy's a Keeshond). He attends The Summit Church, and enjoys visiting Jordan Lake and Wilmington in his off time.

Paul received a Bachelors of Journalism Degree from the University of Missouri -- Columbia. He is originally from South Florida.
