Page Crawford is full of surprises! She can build a rural, gravity-fed latrine system from scratch (former Peace Corps Volunteer), run a boot-leg pass pattern (former flag football Tight end) and make a mean Italian meatball and mozzarella turn-over (ok so they’re “Hot Pockets,” but hey, nobody’s perfect!).
Now she’s ready for her next adventure: as your MyNC.com "web-Page" host. Pun intended.
Born in Washington, DC and growing up in Northern Virginia, Page graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in May 2001 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
After serving two years in Honduras as a Water and Sanitation Peace Corps Volunteer (a logical use of that Journalism degree, right?!), she left one of the smallest villages in the world for one of the biggest: New York City.
During her stint in "The Big Apple," first as an NBC Page (seriously, that’s not narcissism, that's actually what they’re called), then as a Talent Coordinator for the NBC Television Stations Division, Page decided to turn the part-time reporting and hosting work she was doing on the side into a full-time gig. What better place to do it than back where her love of journalism first began… right here in the Triangle!
Page is thrilled to be back in North Carolina, working at NBC and experiencing the "joys" of first-time home ownership with her two favorite boys – her husband Jake and their 26-pound adopted cat, Farley.
