After spending two years in the gorgeous Florida sun, Jennifer is happy to have four seasons back. Jennifer comes to Raleigh after reporting for two years in Panama City, Fla. Her first job out of college provided a wide variety of stories to cover—from crime and courts to government and education.
Jennifer has covered everything from a Panama City Police officer being fatally shot to the damage of Hurricane Dennis and Hurricane Katrina. She has learned a lot about what it means to tell a great story.
Jennifer joined the NBC 17 News Team in October of 2007 and is thrilled to be the Durham County reporter. She reports on everything from politics to community issues.
One of the greatest joys of her job is making an impact in people’s lives and bringing about change.
Jennifer grew up in Atlanta, Ga. After high school she spent four of the best years of her life at the University of Alabama. Still today she loves cheering on the Tide and traveling back to Tuscaloosa for games.
In her spare time she loves hanging out with friends and trying new things in North Carolina. If you see Jennifer out and about, don’t be hesitate to say hello or send her a story idea!
