Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Chad has been working in local news for the past 10 years. He started his career as the weekend sports anchor for the NBC affiliate in Hagerstown, Md.

Chad worked in Hagerstown for close to a year and then got his second job doing sports in Fort Myers, Fla. He was in southwest Florida for just over four years before joining NBC17 in October 2002.

A couple of Chad's most memorable moments in the business include taking batting practice with the Durham Bulls and riding nine holes of golf with Jack Nicklaus.

Chad has also enjoyed covering major events, such as the World Series, Stanley Cup Playoffs, NBA playoffs, the NCAA Tournament and two Super Bowls. He has also done behind-the-scenes reports with some of NBC's hit shows, including Law and Order, Ed, Third Watch and Fear Factor.

Chad's favorite teams include the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns, Ohio State football and Dayton Flyers basketball. In his spare time, Chad enjoys watching sports, going to the beach, playing golf, basketball and tennis.
